Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 7, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Collide. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use our website and services, including when you create an account with an email address or connect an Instagram (Meta) or TikTok account. By using our services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you register with an email address, we collect your name, email address, a hashed password, and your account type (creator or brand). Creators may also add a display name, bio, profile photo, niches, and portfolio links.
Instagram (Meta) data. If you connect an Instagram account, we may receive and process, depending on the permissions you grant: your Instagram user ID, username, name, account type, profile picture, biography, website, and analytics such as follower count, engagement metrics, and post and account performance insights. We do not collect or store your Instagram password.
TikTok data. If you connect a TikTok account, we may receive and process, depending on the scopes you approve (user.info.basic, user.info.profile, user.info.stats, video.list): your TikTok open ID, username, display name, avatar URL, bio, follower and following counts, total likes, and a list of your public videos with their view, like, comment, and share counts used to estimate engagement. We do not collect or store your TikTok password.
Access tokens. When you connect a social account, we store the OAuth access and refresh tokens issued by that platform, encrypted at rest, so we can refresh your stats. Disconnecting the account deletes these tokens.
Usage data. We collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, for security, rate limiting, and to operate the service.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to create and authenticate your account, including Instagram and TikTok sign-in; display and analyze your connected account statistics within Collide; populate your creator profile so brands can discover you; send transactional email such as verification and account notifications; provide, operate, and improve Collide features and services; and monitor performance, usage, and security. We do not sell personal data.
4. Analytics and Insights
Instagram and TikTok analytics and statistics are used solely to present insights and performance data to you within Collide, to build your public creator profile, and to improve functionality and user experience. These analytics are accessed and processed only with your authorization and in accordance with the Meta Platform Terms and the TikTok Developer Terms of Service. TikTok data is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not shared except as described in this policy.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that operate Collide (see Section 9), with other users to the extent you choose to make your creator profile visible, when required to comply with applicable laws or valid legal requests, and as required by the Meta Platform Terms and the TikTok Developer Terms of Service.
6. Data Retention
We retain user data only for as long as necessary to provide our services. If you disconnect a connected Instagram or TikTok account, the associated access tokens and imported platform data are removed. If you request account deletion, we remove stored data associated with your account unless retention is legally required.
7. Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your data at any time by disconnecting a connected account in your profile settings, by contacting us at collidedevs@collide-app.com, or through the automated request endpoint at https://collide-app.com/api/data-deletion. Step-by-step instructions are on our Data Deletion Instructions page. Upon verification, we delete stored data associated with your account within a reasonable timeframe.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
9. Third-Party Services
Collide relies on the following service providers to operate: Meta (Instagram) and TikTok for optional account connection and analytics; Stripe for payment processing and subscription billing; Resend for transactional email; Supabase for database and file storage; and Vercel for application hosting. Your use of Instagram and TikTok is also governed by Meta’s and TikTok’s own privacy policies and terms.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
